Hobie 16 Worlds Fiji
The worlds in Fiji are now over which ended in a spectacular party. The winner is…. all those that attended the worlds. To our friends in Fiji a very big thank you for producing a memorable world championship. The parties and atmosphere made up for the lighter winds. The sailing was first class with some very close racing. On the Hobie web site there are lots of stories, photos and videos of the worlds. We do have a DVD of the Hobie 16 Worlds for sale. Hobie Tiger & Dragoon Worlds
The Hobie Tiger Worlds is a bring-your-own-boat event with assisted shipping from some ports. The Hobie Dragoon will be supplied as the boat charter is included in the entry fee. All shipping details have been put on the web site now.  To assist you as much as possible the organisers need to you to book your boat on the shipping container as soon as possible. Please contact Zac Wessels for assistance with your shipping.  Already our hosts have been busy planning what will be a spectacular world championships. We will have our own specially built village. All the sailing will be from a protected beach on flat water. So don’t forget to enter today by going to the web site
 
Is the World Ready?
This is question asked by the Puerto Rican organisers are asking. Yes the Puerto Ricans have put their hand up to host the next Hobie 16 Worlds.  Watch this space for more updates as they come to hand.
 
Welcome aboard Paul Pascoe as the IHCA Vice President. Paul is a life member and former president of the IHCA. Paul replaces Clive Kennedy. On behalf of all the IHCA we thank Clive for his contribution to the IHCA and wish him a well in the future. Everyone hopes to see Clive back sailing a Hobie soon.
 
In Asia there are two big regattas. The Allied Pickfords Hobie Asian Championships in Thailand in January. The organisers have purchased some Tigers and Hobie 16’s which will be available for charter. Followed by the Philippine Hobie Challenge in February.
