Dear Hobie sailors,
The Hobie Europeans have concluded in Travemünde, Germany. Congratulations to all the competitors, winners and organisers for staging such a great event. It is encouraging to see former Hobie 16 Youth World Champion continue his wining way. The top 3 place getters in the Hobie 16 were from New Caledonia/France, Germany and Australia. Adding a Singaporean team in the top 10 and it shows the country depth of the Hobie 16 Class Below is a range of stories from the Europeans.

Hobie Fleet 252, Fiji is running their South Pacific Championships and Suzuki Fiji Hobie. We hope to get more information when they get back in internet range.
The Hobie 16 Worlds in Weihai, China is about to start. The 30th August will be announcing the 19th Hobie 16 Open World Champion. Which team will proudly stand on the stage with the trophy held high? We shall also have new Women and Youth World Champions. The Opening Ceremony has been promised to be spectacular. The containers with the boats have arrived. The beach team arrive this week and will start assembling 60 brand new Hobie 16s.The brand new club house is under construction. Don’t forget to keep checking the web site for updates during the worlds. We hope we have the software to get through some of the firewalls.
Tanzacat 2010 has new Hobie 16 and Tiger for charter. There are sailors from all around the world going to attend this spectacular regatta. So don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this great Hobie event.
XXXIV Brazil Hobie Cat 16 Championships and XXXVIII Brazil Hobie Cat 14 will be held 30 October to 06 November 2010 at Clube Morro de São Paulo, Cairú, Bahia
