Dear Hobie Sailors,

We are another month closer to what will be a spectacular Hobie Worlds in Spain. For the first time the Tiger and Dragoon World together. With entries building it is good to see the Hobie Dragoon entries nearly out weigh the Tiger entries.  The youngest skipper to enter for the Dragoons so far is a 14 year old. The Dragoon entries have come from Europe and Australia. With the entry fee including the charter of a Dragoon there is no reason not to enter. So don’t delay and secure your entry in the Hobie tiger and Dragoon Worlds in Cangas.

The European Hobie Class Association recently held their AGM in Cangas. Part of their goal was to find the party spots for the worlds. After three days the team could not attend every party location in Cangas. The conclusion was this is a great location for a Hobie World Championships.

Tornado Olympic Champions Roman Hagara and Hans Peter Steinacher (AUT) are switching boats. Coming back to Hobie sailing, as they line up for the ISAF World Sailing Games in Lake Neusiedl, Austria from 10-20 May. With less than 70 days remaining until the start in Austria, the numbers continue to swell with Hagara and Steinacher, joined by a host of other Olympic, World and Continental Champions, along with some of the top stars from the ISAF World Sailing Rankings. With the men sailing on the Hobie Tiger and the women sailing Hobie 16 it will be exciting to see the Hobie colour on Lake Neusiedl.
