Dear Hobie Sailors,

The Hobie Tiger and Dragoon Worlds are almost upon us. This month we welcome a new sponsor Coca Cola.

The organisers have arranged for a Dragoon training camp prior to the worlds for sailors aged between 11 and 16 years old. The sailors that participate in both the training and the worlds will be given free food and lodgings during the training camp and the worlds. Then five teams will be given free entry to the world championships.

We are now in the closing days of cheaper entry fees. The late entry fee comes into effect 29th May 2006. So donít forget to enter and pay online to receive the discount. The Hobie Tiger and Dragoon Worlds in Cangas will be an great sailing event so donít forget to enter and pay now.

In Thailand brothers Damrongsak Vongtim and Sakda Vongtim won the Thai Hobie 16 Nationals convincingly from an international entry list. The continued their form where last month they won the Asian Sailing Championships. On the same course wife and husband Claire and Simon Medd (THA) showed great speed and consistency to win the Hobie Tiger Championships. Next year the host club, Royal Varuna Yacht club in Pattaya will host the Hobie Asian Championships.

Also this month is the ISAF World Sailing Games in Austria. This prestigious event is held every four years. It attracts the best sailors around the world. The men will sail the Hobie Tiger while the women will sail the Hobie16. Again ISAF and the organisers have chosen Hobie over any other class.

Lake Neusiedl, Austria  the ISAF World Sailing Games has both the Hobie Tiger for the men and Hobie 16 for the women.
