Dear Hobie sailors,
Thank you to all the Hobie sailors that have entered the 20th Hobie 16 World Championship, at Jervis Bay, NSW. These world championships are only a few entries short of our largest multinational championships. Over 470 competitors forming over 340 teams from 26 countries. Not only on the water with the all the entries but also off the water with your Hobie friends will make this worlds one not to miss. So come and enjoy the fun with the largest multihull class in the world.
Once the entry are filled the entries will be closed as the boats are supplied. Notice of Race and entry pages are available on the Hobie Worlds web site. The Notice of Race can be downloaded from this page and the entry pages can be found here. The Hobie 16 Worlds have all the boats supplied by Hobie Cat Australasia and no other boats shall be allowed to compete. As the new boats are supplied numbers to the worlds are strictly limited. 2013/14 Australian National Hobie Cat Championships with be raced at the Adelaide Sailing Club in South Australia.Registration is on Sunday, 29th of December, 2013.
Racing starts on Monday 30th of December 2013 and goes through to Friday 3rd January 2014. This could be a great warm up for the 20th Hobie 16 Worlds and is the only selection for the Australian sailors for the 20th Hobie 16 Worlds.
The 2014 Hobie Philippines Challenge Notice of Race and entry form has been updated and is now available. The Hobie Challenge course has changed again and now goes to six beautiful islands in the Visayan Sea. The Hobie Challenge has also set up a charity to assist those Filipino people that have lost their homes in the Super Typhoon that claimed so many lives. If you can assist the Philippine people would be grateful.
The next Hobie MultiEuropeans has been announced at Castelldefels, Barcelona, Spain from 27th June until 5th July 2014. The following classes will be sailing: Hobie Dragoon, Hobie 14, Hobie 16, Hobie Tiger and Hobie Wild Cat.
